    Product Description
A magnificent, fine and impressive antique George IV English sterling silver tea tray; an addition to our range of silver trays, salvers and plates.
This magnificent antique George IV sterling silver tea tray has a rectangular shaped form with rounded corners.
The surface of this antique silver tray is embellished with flat engraved spiralling scrolling leaf and floral ornamentation, accented with bud motifs.
The decoration to the surface of the tray incorporates a shaped vacant cartouche to the centre, ornamented with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a stag's head.
The raised rounded border of this rectangular silver tea tray is ornamented with exceptional cast and applied floral and foliate decoration, reflecting the style of that to the surface.
This magnificent 19th century silver tray is fitted with a fine and impressive pair of cast sterling silver handles, conjoined to the broad border.
The tray is supported by four impressive cast claw and ball style feet accented with further floral and foliate designs to the upper portion.
    Condition
This 19th century silver tray is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The cast and applied decoration is very sharp and the flat engraved decoration is very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the tray are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
