    I am pleased to offer for auction a very rare and collectable item by a quality Co over 100y old in excellent for its age condition (no dings, dents; light signs from gently use only). The tray was made by BAILEY BANKS & BIDDLE (Philadelphia, PA; 1894 - present). It is hard to find an asparagus trays in similar condition that are a beautiful and ornately decorated as this one. The tray consists of two parts: body in the simple classic design and very relief border, which is HAND CHASED separately and then molded together with body. It is a very hard technique and was rarely used.
    There is original sterling insert
    on 4 ball feet. The tray is monogrammed in the bottom with lovely script MAM, what allows presenting it to your mother for any celebration – Mothers day, birthday etc.
    The total weight is c. 31.6 oz = 897 grams. Size: tray - 13-1/2" x 9-3/4"(wide) x 1-1/2" (high);
    insert is 9-3/4” x 6-3/8" (wide).
