    Vintage Publicity Photo
    Waikiki Beach w/
    Moana & Royal Hawaiian Hotels
    ~ c1940s ~
This photo is from the collection of a man who lived on Oahu for many decades. He was a writer for both the Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. He was on the island on Dec 7th, 1941 when Pearl Harbor was attacked. Please look for my other current listings of photographs and ephemera from Waikiki Beach, Honolulu and other locales.
This photo is credited to a photographer named James E. Cunningham. Looks to date from the 1940s ~ as I think I see the striped roof of the newly rebuilt Outrigger Canoe Club in the distance. Unsure where this photo is shot from. Also looks like there may be some private homes still standing on the beach.
    Photo Measures 7.25 x 9.5 Inches.
In Good to Very Good Condition:
    Small Corner Crease Upper Left.
